Episcopalians and Lutherans in Full Communion

Several years ago, the national governing bodies of the Episcopal Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America approved resolutions that brought the two churches into "full communion" with one another. Full communion implies full recognition of the clergy and liturgies of each denomination by the other.

Full communion is alive and well in Central Pennsylvania. Lutheran and Episcopal clergy share facilities, pastoral duties, and events in many places in our diocese. More information on these is available as part of our calendar and parish lisitngs.
